About the role

The Warehouse Team Leader role is a hands-on leadership opportunity. It's suitable for a person looking to take on more responsibility and build upon your career, or perhaps, you're more experienced and simply looking for a change.

As the Warehouse Team Leader of our afternoon shift, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse and service delivery to our valued customers. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will lead a small team of warehouse personnel to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment, inventory management, and the overall productivity of the warehouse.

What you'll be doing

• With a hands on approach, you'll coordinate the day-to-day activities of the warehouse team, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and ensuring on time performance for our customers
• Ensure all warehouse operations adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Ensure all warehouse operations meet our compliance and regulatory obligations on a daily basis
• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of warehouse operations by identifying and implementing efficiency-enhancing initiatives
• Liaise with other departments to ensure effective coordination and communication

What we're looking for

• Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a small team
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Proficient in inventory management, order processing, and warehouse operations
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and productivity-enhancing technologies
• Forklift licence and experience in operating warehouse equipment is highly desirable
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety

Vision International Logistics, is now recruiting for new, suitably experienced Heavy Vehicle Operators to join our team.

What you'll be doing?

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the successful applicant will be a valued member of our team involved primarily in the delivery of airfreight consignments from our facility on the Brisbane River in Pinkenba to Brisbane Airport, with some loads also being delivered directly to warehouses and customers around Brisbane. 

As a driver you will be required to be a part of the chain of responsibility and contribute to the overall customer supply chain. It may be loading skids via a forklift or helping the team push the AKE’s or PMC’s onto your vehicle via the roller system. We value teamwork and taking ownership for getting the job done.

Shifts are normally 4am to 12pm, 12pm to 8pm during the week and 5am to 2pm over weekend with some flexibility. This role could be up to 40hrs + per week with weekend work available. 

What you will need?

• HC Licence preferred  

• HR Licence with a view to gaining your HC licence will be supported by Vision

• Ability to hold or have an ASIC

• National Criminal History check

• Complete and pass a relevant medical

• Knowledge and understanding of the Load and Restraint Guidelines, Chain of Responsibility and NHV Regulations
